FUNDAMENTAL is a self-funded co-production of two independent New Zealand film companies; Unlit Vistas and ApeOnAWhale. A micro-budget production, it is a demonstration of what this creative and motivated team could achieve with limited time and resources. It was filmed in eight days, with a total budget of US$4,700. FUNDAMENTAL is the feature film debut of director Bill Hunt. He brings twenty years of practical effects, design and on-set experience on films such as JASON GOES TO ****: THE FINAL FRIDAY, PULP FICTION, FROM DUSK TILL DAWN, THE X-FILES: FIGHT THE FUTURE and Peter Jackson's KING KONG, and THE HOBBIT and THE LORD OF THE RINGS trilogies.
