Bio by Dimaharg Chelsea's Didier Drogba was haunted by a four-year-old blunder as Zambia won the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time, beating Ivory Coast 8-7 in a remarkable penalty shoot-out that climaxed last night's final in Libreville. Stoppila Sunzu converted the winning penalty after three successive efforts had been missed in a long and nervy shoot-out that totalled 18 kicks. But the match might not have gone to the shoot-out had Drogba not ballooned a 70th-minute penalty well wide to deny his team victory inside 90 minutes. The error repeated Drogba's miss in the 2006 final, which the Ivorians lost to Egypt. Last night's defeat was another near miss for the Ivorian's golden generation, who had been expected to win African football's top prize at the last four tournaments but failed every time.
